About the Author

Thank you so much for stopping by and for supporting a small family business. I live with my family and our animal tribe of dogs and a horse in Sandy, Utah, where stories and everyday life often blend together.

After more than 20 years as a grant writer, I started Letters by Lanternlight to bring back the joy of non-digital, tactile storytelling—a cozy way to reconnect with ourselves and each other. Every character (furry or otherwise) and town is inspired by my real life experiences.

How It Works

When you join Letters by Lanternlight, you’ll receive a new letter in the mail twice a month.

These letters bring to life an immersive tale told through the diary of our protagonist, Lydia Bellweather, as she uncovers secrets in the charming town of Huckleberry Hollow and abroad. Alongside each letter, you’ll find immersive clues and keepsakes that make the experience tactile and interactive, inviting you to enter the mystery and experience the secrets alongside her.

Through every carefully written word and thoughtfully designed detail, our goal is to rekindle the joy of connection, screen-free—both to the story and to a community of fellow readers who share in the adventure.

Letters by Lanternlight Mailing Dates

Your first letter will be mailed within 3 business days. Your second letter will mail with the next closest mailing date. Click the "View More" button to see the mailing dates for the year. 

Mailings arrive at the United States Postal Service (USPS) on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Letters will be delivered within 2 weeks for orders within the United States and 6 weeks for international orders.

All-in-one story boxes will be mailed within 5 business days as we need time to personalize your gift. You will receive a shipping notification with tracking information.
